1. Information We Collect
When you use our trademark search service, we collect the following information:
- Email address: to deliver your search results
- Account email: if you create an account, the email you use to sign in. We link your past and future searches to your account so you can see your search history across devices. Sign-in is passwordless: we email you a one-time code, we never store a password.
- Trademark name: the proposed trademark you search for
- Goods and services description: your description of the goods or services associated with your trademark
- Purchase records: if you buy a Sprint pass or the Founder plan, we store which plan you bought, when it expires, and Stripe's reference for it, linked to your account. Your card details are handled entirely by Stripe and never reach our servers.
- API keys: if you create an API key on the Founder plan, we store the key's name, a cryptographic hash of it, and when it was last used. We never store the key itself, so we cannot show it to you again after you create it.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Search the UK trademark database for potential conflicts
- Generate an AI-powered risk assessment of your proposed trademark
- Deliver your search results via email
- Process your payment
3. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate:
- Stripe: our payment processor for the Sprint pass and the Founder plan, and the billing portal you cancel through. Stripe processes your card details; we never see or store them. Stripe's privacy policy applies to payment data.
- AI providers: your trademark name, goods description and candidate marks are processed by large language models to generate the analysis. Calls are routed via OpenRouter only to hosts with logging and training on your inputs disabled, or directly to Anthropic.
- Resend: email delivery of your search results.
- Supabase: secure database hosting for search sessions, and passwordless account sign-in (it sends your one-time login code).
- PostHog: product analytics (page views, feature usage, A/B test variants). Only loaded once you accept analytics cookies via the cookie banner. Not used for advertising.
4. Data Retention
Your search session data (trademark name, results, and analysis) is retained for 12 months so you can access your results, except that the full contents of a Deep search are trimmed after 90 days. After these periods, data is automatically deleted. You may request early deletion at any time by contacting us.
If you create an account, your account and its email are kept until you ask us to delete them. On request we delete your account and unlink it from your searches. Email us to close your account at any time.
5. Your Rights
Under UK data protection law (UK GDPR), you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Request a copy of your data in a portable format
- Object to processing of your data
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at the email address below.
6. Cookies
We use two kinds of cookies:
- Essential cookies: required for the service to function (such as session management). Always on.
- Analytics cookies (PostHog): loaded only when you accept the cookie banner. They help us understand which features are used and which pricing works. We do not use third-party advertising cookies, and we do not sell or share analytics data with advertisers.
You can change your choice at any time by clearing this site's cookies in your browser, after which the banner will reappear on your next visit.
