Trademarkable

Terms of Service

Last updated: August 2026

1. Service Description

Trademarkable provides preliminary UK trademark screening. Quick search is a free check for close name matches in the categories you pick, delivered in seconds. Deep search reads your goods and services brief, checks your name against the UK register including categories you did not pick, and produces a full list of similar marks grouped by how they might conflict. Parts of both are generated by artificial intelligence.

2. Not Legal Advice

This service does not constitute legal advice. The search results and AI-generated analysis are provided for informational purposes only. They should not be relied upon as a substitute for professional legal advice or a trademark clearance search conducted by a qualified trademark attorney.

We strongly recommend consulting a qualified trademark attorney before filing a trademark application with the UK IPO.

3. Limitations

  • Our database may not reflect the most recent trademark filings or changes.
  • The AI analysis may not identify all potential conflicts.
  • We do not search for unregistered trademarks or common law rights.
  • Risk assessments are generated by AI and may not account for all relevant legal factors.
  • Nice Classification suggestions are indicative only and should be verified by a professional.

4. Payment and Refunds

Quick search is free and unlimited. Deep search needs a free account, which includes 5 Deep searches per calendar month. Beyond that we sell two things: the Sprint pass (£11.99, one-off, 10 days of unlimited Deep searches) and the Founder plan (£19.99 per month, renewing automatically until cancelled, unlimited Deep searches plus API access for connecting your own AI tools). Payments are taken in pounds sterling by our payment processor, Stripe. We never see or store your card details.

The Sprint pass starts immediately. By buying it you expressly agree that we begin supplying the service as soon as your payment completes, and you acknowledge that your statutory 14-day right to cancel ends once the service has been fully supplied. In practice this means a pass that has run its course is not refundable.

The Founder plan renews automatically each month until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from the billing portal (the Manage billing link on your History page). Your access, including API access, runs to the end of the period you have paid for and you will not be charged again. We do not give partial-month refunds. API keys are for your own use (including AI tools acting on your behalf); we may revoke keys used to resell access or to place unreasonable load on the service.

Two promises are built into how the service works: a failed search never uses up anything (not a free monthly search, and not time on a pass), and one Deep search runs at a time per account, for everyone.

If anything goes wrong with a purchase, email hello@trademarkable.co.uk and we will put it right.

5. Disclaimer of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of this service, including but not limited to:

  • Decisions made based on the search results or AI analysis
  • Trademark applications that are refused by the UK IPO
  • Trademark infringement claims from third parties
  • Conflicts not identified by the search

6. Intellectual Property

The trademark data displayed in search results is sourced from publicly available UK IPO records. The AI-generated analysis and the structure of the results are our intellectual property. You may use your results for your own purposes but may not redistribute them commercially.

7. User Responsibilities

By using this service, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate information when conducting searches
  • Use the service for lawful purposes only
  • Not attempt to access the service through automated means at excessive volume
  • Not rely solely on this service for trademark clearance decisions

8. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The updated version will be indicated by the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
